Job Shop (Full Time)

POSITION REPORTS TO:

Contract Welding Manager/Applications Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

A position that will support specific customers’ part flow through the shop, to outside vendors, and upon return to customer and provide various support throughout the contract welding job shop.

PREREQUISITES:
  • Good communication skills
  • Driver’s license
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with customer and/or vendor interaction
  • Previous experience with an ERP system is desirable, but not necessary
  • Mechanical aptitude
JOB DUTIES:  
  • Receive and open job orders from specific customers, which includes using an ERP system to generate paperwork and keep track of orders
  • Communicate with weld operators to ensure optimal workflow and provide assistance when necessary
  • Work with vendors to expedite orders and maintain a good working relationship
  • Provide customers with updates as needed based on the status of orders
  • Communicate the status of open orders with Job Shop management
  • Complete associated records and/or logs for the quality system and/or customer updates
  • Reads and follows applicable quality procedures
  • Clean, assemble,  and check parts as needed
  • Follows appropriate safety policies on the shop floor
  • Additional duties may be required based on company needs
  • Capable of learning new skills to support job shop needs
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 
  • Able to lift 30 lbs or more
