PTR 150 kV CNC EB Welding System
This electron beam welding system was built in 1987 and operated by PTR's job shop department. Some features include a diffusion pumping system, IKE fast beam current control, nude filament illuminator, manual sliding door on both ends of the chamber, high resolution eyepiece optics and X, Y, & rotary axes electronic handwheels for precise positioning of the workpiece.
The system is in running condition and is available as is or we can modify it for your specific part and process requirements.
CHAMBER SIZE: 52" Long x 36" Wide x 40" High
POWER SUPPLY: 25 kW (150 kV at 167 mA) high voltage power supply with SCR control of primary voltage.
SYSTEM CONTROL: Allen-Bradley Series 8200 CNC for control of X, Y, tilt and rotary axes and beam current and focus current beam parameters.
BEAM DEFLECTION: Digital deflection generator programmable by the CNC.
X-Y WORK TABLE: CNC controlled precision X and Y table assembly 25.5" long by 17" wide with strokes of 23.5" in the X-axis and 16" in the Y-axis. This table is capable of supporting 500 pounds.
TABLE RUNOUT SYSTEM: Manually operated runout capability with platform on the right side of the chamber.
