At PTR, Job Shop Electron Beam (EB) Welding is one of our main business activities. Our shop has the resources and capabilities to meet the highest expectations of our customers. Our state-of-the-art EB Welding Shop is equipped with the most advanced CNC systems operated by certified welders with decades of experience. Additional support comes from a staff educated and trained in materials joining, EB welding processes, and metallurgy. We can cater to almost any job – samples, prototypes and small to large production lots. PTR can develop and qualify weld processes in accordance to customer requirements including:
- Weld Joint Design
- Welded samples with full metallurgical lab support
- Reports with supporting documentation, PQR’s, WPS’s, etc
- Detailed operation sheets and approved weld schedules
In addition to EB Welding we offer on site machining, part specific CNC programming, cleaning and vapor degreasing, detailed assembly, pre & post-weld inspections, post weld heat treat, metallography, calibrated leakage testing, application of corrosion preventing coatings and certification packages with supporting documentation.
