In 2005 PTR in Enfield USA and PTR Germany joined with Steigerwald Strahltechnik Germany to become the the All Welding Technologies Group AG (AWT).  These 3 specialized EB technology companies provide the highest levels of EB Systems and EB Welding solutions.  Together they are your connection for high-quality, secure and long-lasting welding solutions.

Our sister company, PTR Präzisionstechnik GmbH, is a medium-size company located in Maintal near Frankfurt/Main.  PTR GmbH specializes in high production EB Welders.  Our other sister company, Steigerwald Strahltechnik GmbH, specializes in large, high voltage chamber systems and EB drillers.  SST is located in Maisach near Munich.  In addition to systems manufacturing, all of the AWT companies provide contract welding services. 

The AWT Group has a long and distinguished history in the field of Electron Beam Technology.  PTR US was originally the Electron Beam Division of Hamilton Standard.   PTR in Maintal has its origins in the Electron Beam Welding Division of Leybold-Heraeus, which later became Leybold AG.  Steigerwald Strahltechnik was established by  Dr h.c. Karl-Heinz Steigerwald, one of the founders of EB processing.
